Lister insist on using the more expensive teak from mature trees, (the only teak specified by the world shipping industry) which gives the furniture a slightly darker appearance and ensures that it will last a lifetime.
As sailors know, the high oil content in premium quality teak prevents it from rotting and makes it easy to maintain. This means it can be left outdoors all year long and will fade over time to an attractive silvery grey.
