The Monk range has been brought together to pay tribute to upholstered furniture made during the last century. It’s a fantastic representation of Great British history and one that should be cherished in any home. The Monk is one of the original Chesterfields made during the mid 1800’s and will bring a look of refined luxury to any home. Can you afford not to have this stunning range in your home?
This gorgeous armchair is a great place to relax and dream of a bygone era thanks to its deep seat cushion, tall back and padded arms. It has a stylish curved arm design, which is shown off well by the close individual studding, while the deep buttoning adds to the sumptuous feel. It may be called Monk but there is certainly nothing austere about this range!
The finishing touch which makes the Monk range look fabulous is the antique finish of the leather upholstery, which is available in a range of stylish colours. The leather starts as the darker colour and is then hand rubbed to reveal the underlying lighter colour (click on one of the leather samples above to see this in detail). The rubbing is done strategically over the Chesterfield and the leather is then sealed to protect the appearance. This means your piece will look like it has been in the family for years, but with the advantage of knowing it has been built to a high standard by quality British craftsmen, just for you.
